Sears' Experience and Expertise in Student Information Systems Key to Keeping TopSchool Solution at Forefront of Market Demand

Denver, CO - June 22, 2010 - TopSchool Inc., a leading SaaS provider of Student Lifecycle Management (SLM) solutions for higher education, today announced the addition of Jim Sears as vice president of Implementation.  Sears brings 15 years experience working with student information systems in higher education, and will be instrumental in both the deployment and advancement of TopSchool's next generation system.

"We are excited to add Jim to our team, and believe his experience, which spans both small and established operations, will be invaluable as we continue to build our business and launch clients on our system," said Matthew Schnittman, co-founder, president and CEO of TopSchool.  "His knowledge and expertise with student information system implementations will not only help us keep pace with market demand, but it will also ensure that we are staying ahead of the curve in terms of developing and evolving solutions that our clients need now and in the future."

Sears comes to TopSchool from Sungard Higher Education, where he was involved in both the product and operations of the business.  As General Manager of Client Operations, he was involved in more than 150 client implementations, as well as oversaw the entire services operation for all of North America and redefined and repositioned implementation methodology to address market needs.

Prior to Sungard, Sears served on the implementation team and eventually as vice president of Applied Business Technologies (ABT, Inc.), a software provider for small colleges and universities.  While at ABT, Sears earned prestigious management awards and was elected to the Board of Directors. Sears holds a MBA in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Economics from Villanova University.

"TopSchool's vision to help institutions improve efficiencies and streamline data management, combined with its well established leadership team, provides a great opportunity to deliver a better student information system," said Sears.  "I look forward to engaging with the TopSchool team and its clients to further help schools understand and maximize student information management."
