TopSchool Automates 1098T Process for Colleges and Universities
System Enables Schools to More Efficiently Generate and Distribute Forms to Students and the Government
Denver, CO - January 19, 2011 - TopSchool, a leading SaaS provider of Student Lifecycle Management (SLM)
solutions for higher education, has released new functionality that
allows colleges and universities to more efficiently generate
students' 1098T forms. Through TopSchool's finance module,
schools can quickly and easily batch process the forms and mail
them to students, as well as upload the electronic files to the
government.
"Traditionally, the process of creating and
issuing 1098T forms has been cumbersome for schools, often draining
time and resources," said Matthew
Schnittman, CEO and Co-Founder of TopSchool. "By
improving background batch capabilities, our client institutions
can more efficiently produce the required forms and get them into
the appropriate hands, ultimately enabling them to dedicate less
time to paperwork and more time to students."
This advancement marks another way TopSchool is simplifying student data management for
schools. TopSchool's next generation system enables colleges
and universities to better support students from prospect to
placement.
TopSchool's 1098T functionality reports either payments received
or amounts billed methods, depending on the school's
preference. Schools can run a batch of 1098T forms for large
groups of students or use the search feature to select a specific
student or a set of students for a smaller batch.
Additionally, the functionality allows schools to more efficiently
create forms for students across multiple campuses.
